The Tilford family has been working in the towing business for over 40 years, bringing their extensive expertise and commitment to the community. Alex is carrying on this proud family tradition, and his journey in towing began at an early age.

Raised in Poplar Grove, Alex attended North Boone High School, but his education in towing started even earlier. As a young boy, he helped his father, Al Tilford, in the tow trucks, learning the ropes firsthand. By the age of 15, Alex was already behind the wheel, honing his skills in towing and recovery.

A Certified Expert in Towing

Alex’s commitment to his craft is reflected in his certifications and achievements. He is Wreckmaster Certified and has completed the Heavy Duty Hands-On Training & Certification Course, making him one of the most skilled towing professionals in the Elgin and Chicagoland area. These certifications ensure that Schock’s Towing continues to offer top-notch service, especially in complex and heavy-duty towing situations.
